UTILE Rimouski is a 155-unit student residence located on Alcide-C.-Horth Street in the university city of Rimouski.
The project was developed to address a clear need for affordable student housing in a context of significant pressure on the rental market.
Built using volumetric modular construction, the project enabled the prefabrication of units in a factory prior to on-site assembly, thereby optimizing quality control and accelerating the construction process. The overall timeline was reduced to ten months, compared to approximately 18 months for a conventional build.
